Malone, NY – Today, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY-21) toured Prairie’s Orchard, a family-owned apple orchard located in Malone. The Prairie family planted their first trees in 2013 and this is their first year selling their harvest. The orchard is home to over 650 trees that produce a wide variety of apples.

“I am grateful to Dan and Brandyn Prairie for taking me on a tour of their beautiful apple orchard today,” said Congresswoman Stefanik. “Agriculture is a critical component of our North Country economy and it is great seeing members of our agricultural community move their delicious products to market. I also appreciated the opportunity to discuss the upcoming Farm Bill and funding programs available to new farmers and producers through the U.S. Department of Agriculture. As Congress begins debate on the upcoming Farm Bill, I will continue working to ensure that our farmers have a voice in the policymaking process.”
