Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has announced two Department of Justice (DOJ) grants, totaling $1,222,947, to be awarded to Seven Dancers Coalition, Incorporated and the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe, both located in Hogansburg. The Violence Against Women grant programs are designed to develop the nation’s capacity to reduce domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking by strengthening services to victims and holding offenders accountable.

“I am excited to announce that two important groups located in my district, the Seven Dancers Coalition, Incorporated and the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe, will receive this critical funding to support their initiatives to help women in the North Country,” said Congresswoman Stefanik. “This grant will allow both groups to continue to provide crucial services and programs for women who have been affected by harmful situations, and to raise awareness within our communities. I will continue to be a strong voice on behalf of women, and initiatives to support them, in Congress.”
