Saratoga, NY – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik sent a letter to the Health Resources and Service Administration (HRSA) urging them to disseminate more funds to Community Health Centers located in New York State. Specifically, the letter requests that any funds that are provided to Community Health Centers be distributed based off community need, prioritizing the states and regions of the country that are in the height of the COVID-19 response. New York State currently accounts for nearly half of all confirmed COVID-19 cases nationwide.

“New York has been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and our Community Health Centers are on the frontlines of response in the North Country” said Congresswoman Stefanik. “These Community Health Centers are essential partners in community and state-wide efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19, and it is crucial that we provide them with adequate funding and resources to continue their important work. I will continue to advocate in support of all of our hospitals, health centers, and healthcare workers who are working tirelessly to combat this public health crisis.”
