Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik received a Resolution from the Town of Essex highlighting her work in securing a $789,567 Northern Border Regional Commission (NBRC) grant for their water treatment plant project. Congresswoman Stefanik advocated to increase funding for the NBRC and raised its importance at the federal level. Additionally, she wrote a letter of support for the Town of Essex’s grant application and attended the grant award meeting.
“I am proud to advocate for the Town of Essex throughout their application process and to successfully secure this much needed funding for their project, and I am grateful for their Resolution highlighting this result,” said Congresswoman Stefanik. “NBRC funding is vital to the success of many initiatives in our North Country communities, and I am proud to advocate for its funding each year at the federal level. I will continue to work hard to support the NBRC grant program and return valuable tax dollars back to the North Country for important projects like this.”
