Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik released the following statement after voting against Democrats’ Continuing Resolution to fund the government through February 18, 2022.
“Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats' failure has once again brought us to the brink of shutdown. Despite controlling the White House, House, and Senate, Democrats have failed to pass a single appropriations bill this entire year. They have failed the American people.
“From the beginning, Democrats have refused to work across the aisle and, instead, forced a purely partisan process. For months, they have wasted the American people’s time by forcing trillions of dollars of Far-Left spending and Socialist policies but have failed to follow through on their number one job to govern."
