Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Stefanik joined the Jefferson-Lewis School Boards Association for their virtual annual legislative meeting. She provided an update on the $5 billion in federal funds she has delivered to North Country school districts since the beginning of the pandemic, and emphasized her commitment to providing additional resources to combat mental health issues and food insecurity, and increase access to broadband for rural students.

“I appreciated the opportunity to hear from administrators and teachers in Jefferson and Lewis Counties, and extend my gratitude for their diligence in providing as much in-person instruction as possible for North Country students,” said Congresswoman Stefanik. "Their insight is invaluable as I work on their behalf at the federal level. I will continue to work closely with the Department of Education to conduct oversight over New York State and ensure they distribute federal funds to local school districts as the law requires."
