Saratoga, NY – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has announced that Spencer Newsom, a 10th grader from Galway Jr./Sr. High School, has won this year’s Congressional Art Competition.
Spencer’s piece, entitled “New York and Country”, will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol alongside the winners from each Congressional District for one year.
“Today, I was proud to call and congratulate Galway Jr./Sr. High School student Spencer Newsom for winning this year’s Congressional Art Competition,” said Congresswoman Stefanik. “The North Country is home to many talented artists, and Spencer’s piece is particularly special considering our district is the proud home of many veterans. I look forward to inviting Spencer to the U.S. Capitol for an event this fall to highlight her accomplishments!”
