Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has cosponsored the CONNECT for Health Act, led by Congressman Mike Thompson (CA-05), that would expand telehealth services.

Specifically, the bill would expand access to critical telehealth services by removing geographic restrictions on telehealth services, and allowing Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) and Rural Health Clinics (RHC) to provide telehealth services. It would also permanently allow for the waiver of other telehealth restrictions during public health emergencies.

“North Country residents, especially our seniors, rely on telehealth services to keep them in touch with their healthcare providers,” said Congresswoman Stefanik. “I am proud to join this bipartisan effort to increase flexibilities for telehealth providers and improve access to healthcare services for our rural residents.”
