Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik today issued the following statement on the passage of Democrats’ reckless budget resolution (S.Con.Res. 14):
“I oppose the radical $3.5 trillion Bernie Sanders budget that Democrats are using to force their Far-Left Socialist agenda on the American people. While Biden’s inflation crisis erodes the earnings of working Americans in the North Country and across the nation, this reckless budget doubles down on his devastating economic policies by implementing the highest spending levels in American history and saddling the next generation with $17 trillion in new debt. This budget paves the way for Democrats to enact President Biden’s $3.5 trillion tax and spending spree that will raise taxes, ship American jobs to China, and provide amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants. Nancy Pelosi can’t hide what this is – a radical Socialist tax increase on every American.”
