Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik today announced $4.16 million in grant and grant matches to conserve and restore the North Country’s wetlands. The $1.32 million in grant awards from the North American Wetlands Conservation Act (NAWCA) will be matched by $2.84 million in partner funds from Ducks Unlimited.

“I am proud to represent the beautiful home of the Adirondacks, and I know that protecting our ecosystems plays an important role in our community’s economic growth and opportunity,” Stefanik said. “These taxpayer dollars will now be returned to our district to support our wildlife and wetlands, and I look forward to witnessing the positive impact that these conservation programs will continue to have on the North Country landscape.”
