Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik today announced a $70,000 economic planning grant for the Lake Champlain-Lake George Regional Planning Board from the Economic Development Administration.
“I am proud to announce $70,000 in taxpayer dollars will be returned to our district to support the Lake Champlain-Lake George Regional Planning Board's important work to foster economic development and support small businesses in the North Country,” Stefanik said. “Our small businesses are the backbone of our North Country economy by providing good-paying jobs and facilitating tourism in our region, and this critical federal funding will lead to greater job creation and help our small businesses continue in their important work. I will continue to be a vocal advocate for programs and legislation that assist our North Country small businesses.”
This investment will support the development and implementation of a comprehensive economic development strategy, which will strengthen the regional economies of Clinton, Essex, Hamilton, Warren, and Washington Counties in New York’s 21st District.
