Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik today announced a $150,000 emergency community water and assistance grant for the Village of Dexter through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development program.

“Today, I am announcing $150,000 in taxpayer dollars are returning to our district to construct a water pipeline in Jefferson County,” Stefanik said. “Access to a reliable and clean water supply is critical for our communities. I am proud to deliver this result for the Village of Dexter and will continue to advocate for these important grants for the North Country.”

This investment will be used to construct a water supply pipeline connecting Cemetery Road to a distribution line in the Town of Brownville Water District to provide a secondary supply of water to the residents and businesses in the Village of Dexter in Jefferson County.
