Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik today praised Fort Drum for being named the best military installation for readiness by the U.S. Army.

“As the chief advocate for Fort Drum in Congress, I am proud to deliver funds every year to enhance its military readiness,” Stefanik said. “Fort Drum plays a critical role in our nation’s defense and is home of the 10th Mountain Division, the most deployed Army division since 9/11, and is deserving of this recognition. The top readiness award is a significant achievement and speaks to the tireless efforts of Fort Drum.”

Last year, Stefanik delivered $27 million to complete Fort Drum’s Railhead Project that will expedite the rapid deployment of troops, vehicles, and equipment from the base.

The U.S. Army Installation Management Command named Fort Drum as one of the best in its directorate for 2021. Fort Drum came in fourth place compared to all other military installations and was specifically highlighted for its readiness capabilities.
