Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik today announced the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe will receive $857,119 from the Economic Development Administration to fund the Akwesasne Tourism Business Support project, which will support native tourism capacity building through small business technical assistance, product testing, and tourism-specific training in Hogansburg, New York.

“Today, I am announcing over $850,000 in taxpayer dollars will return to our district to support the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe,” Stefanik said. “These funds will equip the tribe and fuel its tourism industry by increasing its capacity, supporting small businesses, and providing tourism-specific training.”
