“I am proud to vote to support our brave law enforcement and reject the failed policies of the Far Left defund the police movement,” Stefanik said. “This legislation delivers critical support for our officers, provides small police forces with the resources they need to keep communities in Upstate New York and the North Country safe, and equips officers with critical tools to combat the skyrocketing crime crisis. But as Democrats in Washington and Albany continue to double down on their woke agenda that fails to support our police in the middle of a crime crisis, I rejected policies that replace support for police, disincentivize law and order, and continue to fuel skyrocketing violent crime.”
