Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY-21) issued the following statement on the news that the U.S./Canadian preclearance agreement has been passed and signed into law by the Canadian Government.

“This is great news for U.S.-Canadian relations and for our North Country community,” said Congresswoman Stefanik. “I was proud to help write the Promoting Travel, Commerce and National Security Act that passed Congress and was signed by President Obama last December.
