Stefanik Returns from Bipartisan Congressional Delegation to the Middle East
Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik traveled to Turkey, Afghanistan, and the Syrian-Jordanian border last week, returning Monday with Congressman Jason Crow (D-CO-6), Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger (D-VA-7), Congresswoman Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA-6), and Congressman Andy Kim (D-NJ-3) as part of a Congressional Delegation.
The Members met with various military and government leaders, attended briefings and discussions related to national security, foreign relations, military operations, diplomacy, and the ongoing Afghan peace talks.
“It was an honor to visit Turkey, Afghanistan, and Jordan with a bipartisan group of my colleagues,” said Congresswoman Stefanik. “Our discussions with military and government leaders were incredibly productive and informational. Representing American interest in foreign relations is critical to maintaining our standing on the world stage, and we were proud to show our united front and shared interest in diplomacy. Thank you to the Turkish, Afghan, and Jordanian governments for their warm welcome and hospitality.”
