Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik released the following statement on Governor Kathy Hochul’s announcement to end her authoritarian mask mandate on schools starting March 2:
“Governor Hochul’s decision to unmask our kids is long overdue. For far too long, Far-Left Democrat Governors have been playing progressive politics, rather than following the science and listening to parents. I consistently advocated for our New York students and families against Governor Kathy Hochul’s forced mask mandates. We know these mandates have irrevocably harmed our children’s learning and development. Finally, these families can start to return to normalcy. This is an important reminder that, as policymakers, we must always stay vigilant in speaking out and representing our young children.”
