Washington, D.C. –Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY-21) supported House passage of the Improving Rural Call Quality and Reliability Act – bipartisan legislation that would direct the Federal Communications Commission to establish basic quality standards for providers that transmit voice calls to help ensure businesses, families, and emergency responders can count on phone calls being completed.

“I was pleased to support this bipartisan legislation to improve call connectivity in rural communities like ours,” said Congresswoman Stefanik. “Families, businesses and first responders in our district need reliable phone service and these reforms will help build our local infrastructure and help us compete in a 21st century economy.”
