Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik today announced a $50,000 award for Historic Saranac Lake from the National Endowment for the Humanities. This grant will help complement the Saranac Laboratory Museum’s Pandemic Perspectives exhibition and support a short film about Saranac Lake history.

“Saranac Lake played a unique role in the health of our nation by serving as a world-famous fresh air treatment center for tuberculosis, which was visited by Mark Twain, Albert Einstein, and multiple of our former Presidents,” Stefanik said. “I’m proud to announce these taxpayer dollars will be returned to our district to help further share the history of Saranac Lake.”
