Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has announced a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) loan totaling $273,500 to be awarded to War Canoe Holdings, LLC for the acquisition and conversion of the former Adirondack Meat Facility into a distillery and barrel storage operation. The facility will feature local products in the new tasting room and buy inventory from local distributors. This operation will be the first of its kind in the area. Funding for the project is provided by the USDA Rural Development program.
“I am excited to announce loan funding to be provided for this new business venture in Ticonderoga” said Congresswoman Stefanik. “This funding will allow a new, local business to open, providing jobs and revenue for the area, all while relying on other local products from farmers and distillers in the area. I look forward to their opening, and I will continue to advocate on behalf of small business owners in the North Country to advance opportunities like this one.”
