Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has led the effort in coordinating support between local and state elected officials, community groups, and local businesses in the area surrounding Fort Drum to advocate for the installation’s selection as the final site for an additional Army Corps Headquarters. This includes petitions, signed by hundreds of constituents with more signing on each day, in support of the stationing and activation of the additional headquarters at Fort Drum. The offices of Congresswoman Stefanik have worked closely with Advocate Drum to coordinate an outpouring of support from the North Country.
“Fort Drum is the best option for the activation and stationing of the Army’s fourth corps headquarters, and I am proud to be passionately advocating for this alongside my constituents,” said Congresswoman Stefanik. “As the number one advocate for Fort Drum, I have worked tirelessly to lead the coordination efforts across the North Country, to build support for the Army’s consideration. I will continue to raise awareness that Fort Drum has unmatched capabilities and ready to rapidly expand to meet the criteria to support an Army corps headquarters.”
