Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik today voted against Democrats’ push for abortion on demand until birth. She released the following statement:
“It is shameful House Democrats would even consider this radical abortion on demand legislation,” Stefanik said. “The reality of their proposal would override common-sense pro-life laws and remove nearly all protections for the unborn. I am proud to work to protect taxpayer dollars from funding on-demand abortion and will continue to stand for the most vulnerable among us, the unborn.”
Eighty percent of Americans say abortion should be illegal in the third trimester, but this bill would allow for abortions of unborn children for any reason at any stage of pregnancy up until birth.
