Washington, D.C. – Today, the House Armed Services Committee announced that Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY-21) has been selected by her colleagues to serve on the Subcommittees on Readiness, Personnel, and Emerging Threats and Capabilities.

“I am grateful to Chairman Thornberry and my colleagues on the Committee for the rare opportunity to serve on three important subcommittees as a freshman in Congress,” said Congresswoman Stefanik. “These subcommittee assignments will give me a significant platform to advance the needs of our Defense Department, our troops, and to protect and strengthen Fort Drum. Furthermore I will be continuing in the legacy of North Country Congressman John McHugh who served on the Subcommittees on Personnel and Readiness.”
