Ausable Chasm, New York – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik today toured the North Country Underground Railroad Historical Association Museum in Ausable Chasm.

“New York’s 21st District is home to a rich history, and I am proud to support the North Country Underground Railroad Historical Association Museum as they continue this legacy,” Stefanik said. “As the museum works to expand ways to tell the stories of freedom seekers and abolitionists and preserve this history, I look forward to continue advocating for their important work.”

Stefanik has delivered over $4 million to NY-21 museums. She is a cosponsor of the Museum and Library Services Act to support the work of libraries and museums nationwide. Stefanik has advocated for funding for this museum through the Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership Local Heritage Program and the annual appropriations process.
