Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik today sent an oversight letter to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Christopher Wray regarding the FBI’s Inspection Division review of the Schoharie limo crash.

In the letter, Stefanik requested a timeline for the FBI’s review, a copy of the completed review, and any findings and recommendations.

“Given the major impact this tragedy had on the lives of my constituents, I am committed to sustained oversight to ensure all questions and concerns are answered, and any necessary reforms are implemented. To that end, I am requesting an anticipated timeline for when this review will be completed,” Stefanik wrote.

In March, Stefanik questioned Director Wray on the FBI’s involvement in the crash at the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence’s hearing. Later that month, Stefanik sent a letter to Director Wray demanding answers on the Schoharie limo crash.

Following her advocacy, the FBI announced in April that it will open an investigation into the Schoharie limo crash.
