Congresswoman Stefanik successfully delivered the highest levels of funding for the Lake Champlain Basin Program and helped lead the effort to permanently reauthorize the Land and Water Conservation Fund. She also proudly helped pass the Great American Outdoors Act, signed into law by President Trump in 2020, and has long supported the permanent authorization of the Land and Water Conservation Fund, which provides support for several local projects throughout the North Country. As Co-Chair of the Invasive Species Caucus, Congresswoman Stefanik has introduced and cosponsored legislation to promote and protect species of plants and animals that are native to the North Country, while also combating the threat that invasive species pose to our ecosystems.
