Agriculture
Agriculture is the backbone of the North Country and our farmers create jobs all across the district. Our district is home to a variety of agricultural commodities including significant dairy, apple, and maple operations. According to the last census of agriculture, New York’s 35,000 farmers bring in over $5 billion in sales.
Environment
The environment is the economic lifeblood of the North Country and it is crucial that the right choices are made now to protect New York, the United States, and the planet for future generations. The six million acres that comprise the Adirondack Park are filled with dozens of waterfalls, over thirty thousand miles of streams and rivers, and over 1500 miles of trails.
