Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik today voted to advance the COVID–19 Origin Act of 2023, which requires the Director of National Intelligence to declassify all information on the origin of COVID-19 and any potential links with the Wuhan Institute of Virology within 90 days of enactment.
“When Republicans questioned any of the reasons behind the forced lockdowns, masking, and unconstitutional COVID-19 vaccine mandates, we were called conspiracists, racists, and accused of not following the science. Now more and more evidence is confirming that COVID-19 was leaked from a lab in Wuhan and that Fauci worked to cover it up. The American people deserve answers, not more lies from Dr. Fauci, Big Tech, and the Main Stream Media that worked to suppress this stories for years. House Republicans are uncovering the truth for the American people, and accountability is coming.”
Stefanik led the World Deserves To Know Act to hold the Chinese Communist Party accountable for their intellectual property theft, multiple human rights abuses, and imposed sanctions on Chinese Health Agency officials until there is an independent, unimpeded investigation into the origins of COVID-19.
Following a Stefanik-initiated investigation in January 2021, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) confirmed $28.9 million in grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and Department of Defense (DoD) funded Chinese entities’ research and development.
