East Greenbush, New York – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik today honored the life and service of World War II veteran, Private First Class John “JJ” King, during an Honor-A-Deceased Veteran Ceremony in Rensselaer County.
During the ceremony, Stefanik presented King’s family with a message recorded in the official Congressional Record in his honor.
“It was an honor to join the King family to remember the legacy of Private First Class “JJ” King, a Troy native, who selflessly served his country during World War II,” Stefanik said. “Today’s presentation is one token of our gratitude for his five years of active-duty service and sacrifice to preserve the American freedoms we hold so dear.”
