CHAIRWOMAN STEFANIK ON THE MISSION TO SAVE NEW YORK:
We’re getting feedback from all across New York, Republicans, Democrats, and Independents who have seen Kathy Hochul bend the knee and endorse Zohran Mamdani. She threw New Yorkers under the bus because she has abysmal polling numbers. We need to address the affordability crisis in our state because of single-party Democrat rule under Kathy Hochul. She’s widely known as the Worst Governor in America. So we’re getting a lot of encouragement, more to come after this Mayoral election. We need to Save New York!
ON THE SCHUMER SHUTDOWN:
HARRIS FAULKNER: Let’s start there with this idea of the workforce, because you’re intimately involved in this issue. People are already suffering after the weekend.
CHAIRWOMAN STEFANIK: People are absolutely suffering, Harris, and the reality is this is a Democrat Senate-led shutdown. This is the same bill. It’s a clean funding bill that House Republicans passed that every Republican senator voted for. Democrats own this shutdown and it’s going to have real hurt across America. I’m already hearing from my constituents, whether it’s air traffic controllers, whether it’s TSA agents, or whether it’s those on SNAP benefits who really need those lifelines. So when we talk about Americans going hungry, this impacts every district across the country. Chuck Schumer needs to vote for the bill that during Joe Biden’s presidency, he voted for 13 times. And now they’re trying to leverage the American people to shut down the government.
