“I’m proud to announce that I helped secure over $4.2 million in funding to complete important projects via NBRC, which will spur economic growth and community development throughout our Upstate and North Country communities,” said Chairwoman Stefanik. “Increasing investment into our communities remains one of my top priorities as a member of Congress. I look forward to continuing to strengthen NBRC’s initiatives to enhance rural healthcare and encourage job creation across NY-21.”

“We’re thrilled to continue our focus on workforce housing development in the Adirondack Park with support from the Northern Border Regional Commission,” said Beth Gilles, Executive Director of the Lake Champlain – Lake George Regional Planning Board. “Many communities in the Park are ready for housing solutions, and this grant will help us prepare shovel-ready sites to meet that need. We’re grateful to the Congresswoman for her ongoing support of our work and of year-round residents in the Adirondacks.”

“We are extremely grateful for the Northern Border Regional Commission’s decision to award Community Health Center of the North Country funds from the 2025 Spring CATALYST Program, and specifically thank Congresswoman Stefanik for her assistance during the application process," said Dave Bender, CEO Community Health Center of the North Country. "Her unwavering support of community health centers, and rural healthcare needs in general across the District, does not go unnoticed and is genuinely appreciated. For independent providers of healthcare services like ourselves, awards such as this are mission critical to our growth, and expanding access to care for the communities we are part of. We identified a need for more pediatric care in Ogdensburg, and the surrounding areas, and have added two pediatricians and one family practitioner already this year. This grant will now allow our team to add multiple state of the art exam rooms designed and used specifically for pediatric care."

“We are incredibly grateful to Congresswoman Stefanik and the Northern Border Regional Commission for investing in Lake Placid Center for the Arts’ project to revitalize our campus,” said James Lemons, Executive Director, Lake Placid Center for the Arts. “With renewed facilities, we will be able to continue all of the arts programming that our local communities have come to rely on, while increasing our impact on the local economy with a greater capacity to encourage cultural tourism to the region.”

“It is with great appreciation that the City of Plattsburgh has been awarded this grant from the Northern Border Regional Commission for our wastewater system feasibility study for the Rugar Street corridor,” said Mayor Wendell Hughes. “This is not just important for the City of Plattsburgh’s future growth but for our region as a whole. We are grateful for Congresswoman Stefanik’s efforts on behalf of the City of Plattsburgh.”
