“The reckless and incompetent Hochul Administration violated federal law under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act and the Military Spouses Residency Relief Act with gross government overreach by levying over $17,000 from a military family without their knowledge.
Despite this error, the Hochul Administration is brazen enough to still charge a processing fee to the family just to get their money back. I call upon Governor Hochul and New York State to rectify this error immediately and to drop the fee charged against the family. This egregious overreach is another example of the Hochul Administration attempting to exact huge tolls on New York families to pay for New York State’s bloated and mismanaged budget."
