Saratoga, NY - "Today, we commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord, a pivotal moment in our nation’s history when brave American patriots stood their ground against tyranny, firing the "shot heard around the world." On April 19, 1775, the courage of ordinary citizens—farmers, shopkeepers, and minutemen—ignited the spark of liberty that would birth the United States of America.

The resolve displayed on the fields and woods of Lexington and Concord reminds us of the enduring American spirit: a commitment to freedom, self-governance, and the unalienable rights endowed by our Creator. These patriots faced overwhelming odds, yet their determination laid the foundation for the greatest nation the world has ever known.

Let us honor the sacrifices of those who fought for our independence and recommit ourselves to preserving the principles they championed. In New York’s 21st District, we are proud to celebrate our unique and pivotal role in the Revolutionary War.

May God bless our veterans, our service members, and the United States of America as we celebrate this momentous anniversary."
