Saratoga, N.Y. – House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik released the following statement:
“Despite desperate efforts by Kamala Harris and Joe Biden’s weaponized Department of Justice to keep illegals on the voter rolls, today’s Supreme Court order will allow Virginia Governor Youngkin and Attorney General Miyares to continue their efforts to preserve the sanctity of American elections and keep illegal immigrants off Virginia voter rolls, dismantling Far Left Democrats and their loyal stenographers in the mainstream media’s claims that these concerns were unfounded. This is common sense, not controversial, and Constitutional.”
House Republicans have been leading the charge to ensure only Americans can vote in American elections. In July, House Republicans passed the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, despite 198 House Democrats voting against the bill requiring individuals to provide proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections.
