Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Elise Stefanik today voted to pass the Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act to block the Biden Administration from unleashing 87,000 new IRS agents to go after families and small businesses and their unprecedented increase in IRS audits.

Specifically, this bill rescinds all new IRS funding for squeezing middle-class families and small businesses, while enhancing the services Americans expect to receive from their government.

“I am proud to vote to put an end to Biden’s army of IRS agents and stand up to protect small businesses and hardworking American families," Stefanik said. "Together, House Republicans have hit the ground running to begin to enact our Commitment to America and create a government accountable to the people. I will continue to provide a critical check on the Biden Administration’s reckless policies.”

House Democrats included this provision in their reckless Inflation Expansion Act.
