Saratoga, N.Y. - Congresswoman Elise Stefanik introduced the reauthorization of the Older Americans Act (OAA) to support a wide range of social services and programs for individuals aged 60 or older. Programs supported by the OAA include supportive services, nutrition services, home-delivered meals, family caregiver support, community service employment, and services to prevent the abuse and exploitation of older people.
“I’m proud to lead the reauthorization of the Older Americans Act to ensure the incredible seniors in our communities maintain access to critical services that enhance the quality of the caregiver support they receive and protect our seniors from elder abuse and exploitation. New York’s 21st Congressional District is home to one of the largest constituencies of seniors in America and I will continue to ensure their needs are met,” said Congresswoman Elise Stefanik.
Congresswoman Elise Stefanik helped lead the last reauthorization of the Older Americans Act, which was signed into law in March 2020.
